De oplosbaarheid van AES en AESO is allemaal verhoogd vanwege het bestaan van de EO -groepen en hun harde waterweerstanden zijn beter dan die van Lauryl -natriumsulfaat. De schuimbaarheidstest toont aan dat AESO het beste schuimvermogen heeft bij de concentratie van 1480 mg/L, wat afneemt met de toename van de Ca2+ -concentratie, maar de schuimstabiliteit neemt toe. Het is te zien dat AESO een gunstige weerstand heeft tegen hoge temperatuur en een hoog zoutgehalte.

Storerooms mogen niet worden oververhit (<50 ⁰c). De stollingspunten van deze producten moeten ook worden overwogen. Vloeistof die is gestold of die tekenen van sedimentatie vertoont, moet voor gebruik zacht worden verwarmd tot 50-60⁰c en geagiteerd.
