Polyethyleendereftalaat (PET) hars is een polyesterhars die bekend staat om zijn veelzijdigheid over een breed scala aan toepassingen. Het wordt geproduceerd door de polycondensatie van ethyleenglycol en tereftaalzuur, wat resulteert in een polymeer met opmerkelijke helderheid, sterkte en chemische resistentie.

Petharschips in zijn natuurlijke staat is een kleurloze, semi-kristallijne hars.
